How to Sign up for Facebook Email Account?


Facebook recently announced their latest messaging system which includes an email sign up(@facebook.com). Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg described it as “Modern messaging system” not just an email system.

Here are the keys to what a modern messaging system needs according to Zuckerberg:

  • Seamless
  • Informal
  • Immediate
  • Personal
  • Simple
  • Minimal
  • Short

To do that, Facebook has created three key things: Seamless messaging, Conversation history, and a Social Inbox.

How to sign up with Facebook Email ?

  1. Log in Facebook via http://www.facebook.com/
  2. Go to the url: http://www.facebook.com/about/messages/
  3. Click on ‘Request an Invitation’ button [ you can find it at the bottom]
  4. You will get an invitation when it starts rolling out to Facebook users.

What are the difference between Facebook messages and regular email? It incorporates Emails, Facebook messages, SMS, other chat clients. Anything more,  let us wait and see.
