The Brutal Decline of the Giant Yahoo!

In January 1994, Jerry Yang and David Filo, Electrical Engineering graduate students of Stanford Universit, created a website named “David and Jerry’s Guide to the World Wide Web” which in April 1994, was renamed “Yahoo!”. Yahoo! grew rapidly throughout the 90s. Like many search engines and web directories, Yahoo! diversified into a Web portal. It also made many high-profile acquisitions.

Hi Swamy, I am feeling sorry for them. They were the giants in the online stage for a long time but right after the emergence of Google, their growth starts to decline and they continued to go in the wrong direction until today. Hope they will find something or someone to come with a new product which reignites their online presence.

      Hi Satish

The growth of Google is directly proportional to the Decline of Yahoo! in the past few years. They need big change to take over Google and Facebook :)
