Misa Digital’s Kitara guitar is all about bringing the traditional instrument into the 21st century — with a multi-touch screen that displays six strings that can be strum with your fingertips instead of using a pick. It reminds us of an iPad slapped onto a guitar.

While it might appear to be more a toy than an instrument at first glance, the Kitara is designed as a genuine digital alternative to a real guitar. It consists of three main components including a full fretboard, a multi-touch touchscreen and an onboard polyphonic synthesizer pre-loaded with sounds and effects.
