Useful to remove and clean the photos from any wrongly untagged images, pictures of spam nature, or simply photos that you don’t want others to see directly on Profile page.

Other Facebook Tricks:

You can remove any photo instantly from the top of the Facebook profile by clicking ” x” that floats in the top-right corner on rolling the mouse over the image. The photo can still be found and seen on your photos page.

How to Hide Tagged Photos on Top of New Facebook Profile

Remember that only the people selected in your current “Photos and videos I’m tagged in” setting will see these photos. You can adjust this setting from the “Sharing on Facebook” section of your Privacy Settings page. To get there, follow these steps:

  1. Choose the “Privacy Settings” option in the Account drop-down menu at the top of any Facebook page.
  2. Select “Customize Settings” in the “Sharing on Facebook” section.
  3. Click on “Edit Settings” for “Photos and videos I’m tagged in”.
  4. Select the new privacy settings for “Who can see photos and videos I’m tagged in” from the drop-down list. Options available are Everyone, Friends of Friends, Friends Only and Customize (for making visible to specific friends or only me, or hide from specific friends).
  5. Click “Okay” or “Save Setting” when done.

Tip: If you don’t want any photos to display on top of profile to anybody (completely remove the photos bar on top of the profile), set the Privacy Settings above to “Only Me” for “Make this visible to” when inside the “Customize” option. Then, go to “Edit album privacy for existing photos” on Privacy Settings page, and change the setting of “Profile Pictures” to “Customize”, and select “Only Me” under “Make this visible to” too.

  1. An interesting way to hide the photos, as this new profile shows all the recent tagged photos on the profile. :)

  2. Great tips for hiding the tagged photo bro but I plan to keep it that way since I am using the profile banner. If someday I feel bored with profile banner, I am gonna disable it. :)

    This was really useful. Thanks.

  4. Someone is posting pictures in my photo banner & when I try to remove them I’m told that I don’t have permission to do that. When I try to click through to the source of the pic I’m told I don’t have permission to do that also.

I’ve tried removing them signed in on my personal account and signed in as admin on my page.

I’ve tried clicking on the pic to remove the tag and I’m told that I don’t have permission to view the pic, although it continues to be visible in my photo bar.

Since I have a family service I am concerned that someone can post pics in my banner that I have no control over. Any ideas?

hmm… suppose that i have added profile picture as above mentioned by you.. lets imagine that on my profile page i have added a profile pic along with tagged photos on the top.. but what if someone tagged me in their photo? i mean if some1 tags me in some photo the recent tag wil be appearing on the top of the profile.. which means my profile picture customization will get disturbed!! whenever im tagged in any photo i need to delete it by clicking cross so that i can regain my customization… but i cant do it all the tym whn someone tags me.. so is their any solution or any setting to prevent that tagging.

note:I need tags from my frnds but whn they tag me.. my profile picture customization should not change!!!!
