Access Facebook Profile/Wall From Gmail [How-To Guide]


Few days back, OpenDNS reported that facebook is the most blocked website in the World. Which means that people cannot use this website in workplace or office. If you are one among them, the facebook addicted user then we have a solution for you.

Here is a simple trick which allow you to integrate Facebook login interface into Gmail directly. So that you can your facebook profile or wall from Gmail.

How to Access Facebook Profile/Wall From Gmail

Step1: Go to Gmail -> Settings -> Labs and browse to “Add any gadget by URL”. Click on Enable and it will add a “Gadgets” tab to Settings.

Step2: Then, go to “Gadgets” tab, add the below link- “http://hosting.gmodules.com/ig/gadgets/file/104971404861070329537/facebook.xml” into the text field andclick on Add button.

Step3: Now you should be able to find a gadget icon on the left pane bar(mostly below the chat) . Click on it will bring up a new interface within your Gmail where you can login to Facebook directly.

Now you will be able to update your status as well as getting all your friends’ updates in real time. Thanks to iBuno who as has added this into Gmail’s Lab.

    Nice tip buddy, it will be very useful for me because my college blocks the access of facebook.

    Earlier I used google translator to peak in to facebook but now my college blocked Google translator too.

    I will give a try to this hack :)

    Well, I’v tried to do what you showed.
    Problem is when it comes to step 3, it shows facebook. but when i try and log in it shows me a page with this one it:

    Content was blocked because it was not signed by a valid security certificate.
