How-To Tweet from Google Chrome Address Bar

How to Tweet from Google Chrome Address Bar:

1) There’s a Wrench icon on top right side of Google Chrome, click on it.

2) Now you can find a Menu. Click on “Options” in the menu.

3) A pop-up Window will be displayed, showing “Basics” tab. Click on the “Manage” option next to default search.

4) A new pop-up window will open. Click on “Add” in this window.

5) Enter the following details in the pop-up box:

  • Name: Twitter Update
  • Keywords: tweet (or any other keyword).
  • URL: http://twitter.com/home?status=%s

6) Once completed, hit the OK button and make Twitter as default option. Then close all the open pop-up windows.

7) That’s it, now you can easily tweet from your Google Chrome address bar.

Other alternative for this trick would be to use TweetMeme Button for Google Chrome Browser or opt for Twitter Desktop Applications that basically allow you to receive and post Tweets from your desktop.

    No need of extension if this works decently…!
    Extensions in chrome eat lot of RAM usage;(
    better to use tiwtter through such tricks n tips.
