  1. The figure is making me woozy and that is just in America! I wonder what the figure would be if they combine global stat. I can’t imagine how texting has influenced our life these days especially the teens.

I call shenanigans. If 200,000,000,000,000 text messages were really received every day, that would equate to every single American (all 310 million, even those without cell phones) receiving 645,161 text messages per day. Check your math people.

I agree. According to his first source the average teen (18 or younger) sends the most texts per month according to The Nielsen Company at 2,779. Even if you were to include 19-20 which falls into the 18-24 group from his source the average drops down to 1,299. This conflicts with his first and second point.

I do believe this was a biased and unproven research as there is no way that apple accounted for 99.4% of app downloads with android becoming so big last year and majority of their apps free there is just no way at all. and I agree with the text message bit maybe that many world wide but not in America only.

      Hi J

This infographic is specific to America. So the data may seem to be biased compare to worldwide data.

I really liked what you put together on smart phones.  This is the way to market for the future.  Anyone who owns a mobile device keeps it close to them.  Market to that device and you have good potential.  This is the trend on the new window of marketing.  Send a SMS and they will look at it.  Learn how to create iPhone Aps and make money!
