You may have seen the SendTo folder in action (especially while transferring data to USB Pen drive) when you right-click a file and select the Send To folder from the context menu. By default, the Send To menu in Windows lists the following locations:
- Compressed (zipped) Folder
- Desktop (create shortcut)
- Mail Recipient
- My Documents
- Bluetooth
- CD Drive

How to Add New Locations to ‘Send to’ Menu
To add a location to the Send To menu, you must add a shortcut to the SendTo folder. To do this, follow these steps:
- Click Start, and then click Run.
- In the Open box, type sendto, and then click OK.
- Add a destination by doing one of the following: Use the drag-and-drop operation to move the item that you want to the SendTo folder; to do so, right-click, and then click Create Shortcuts Here -or-Point to New on the File menu, and then click Shortcut. For example, if you wanted to add an item to the Send To menu to open files in Notepad. You could just drag a shortcut to Notepad into this folder, or create a new shortcut. Now you can see the new Notepad item in the menu.

If you are not interested in this approach, then you can use Sendtosendto app. It is a free, and open source program that provides an alternative and easy solution. Just install this lightweight shell extension and after that you will find a new ‘Add here’ option in your Send to menu.

However to remove entries from the ‘Send to’ menu you have to manually delete the shortcuts from the ‘Send to’ directory, the location of which is mentioned earlier in this article.
