How to Sync Google Calendar on your iPhone


We have lots of calendar apps available in the market targeting iPhone. The main purpose why we choose calendar app is to organize our daily schedule. Google calendar makes your job easy by providing you the option to create multiple calendars.

Each calendar can be shared with a group of people like “friends only” or with everyone on your list.  However, before you can use it, you must set up Google Sync on your iPhone with our step-by-step guide.

How to Sync Google Calendar with iPhone?

iPhone can sync with only one calendar and hence it is essential to check that you don’t have any other calendar such as Exchange, or Outlook calendar.

  • Open the Settings application on your device’s home screen. Open Mail, Contacts, Calendars. Press Add Account. Select Microsoft Exchange.
  • Enter your Gmail Address under Email section.
  • Now enter m.google.com, under Domain.
  • Enter your full Gmail address under Username column and then enter your Google account password under Password column.
  • Click “Next” button at the top of the screen and choose “Cancel”, if you get a warning like “Unable to verify Certificate”.
  • Select “Google Calendar” option under description and check “Next”.
  • When you are prompted for server name, type “m.google.com” without the quotes and click “Next”.
  • Make sure the “Calendars” option is “ON”.
  • Keep Mail “ON” to enable push Gmail in iPhone mail.
  • Keep Contacts “ON”, only if you have already copied your contacts to Gmail. If not, your contacts in iPhone will be replaced with your Gmail address book contacts.
  • Then, click “Done”.

Now your Google Calendar is synchronized on your iPhone.
