Facebook messenger enables you to chat with your online friends, shows your friend’s recent activity in the news ticker, shows notifications for friend requests, offline messages and main notifications in the bar at the top of the app. The messenger only works as an intermediate, for example if you click the notification in the messenger then the content will open in the browser instead of the app.
