How to Take Complete Backup of All Your Google Docs Files

Google Takeout is a way to download all your data from Google services such as Picasa and Contacts with a single click. But not all Google services are supported by Takeout though, which limits the use of the service somewhat.

Recently Google announced that they have added Google Docs to the list of services. So now you can back all your files present in your Google Docs account. Let me show you how you can export all of your Google Docs files now

Take a Complete Backup of Google Docs using Google Takeout

To download all your  files on Google docs, head over to the Google takeout page, sign in with your Google account and choose docs for where you want to export the data.

Then click “Configure…”  button to choose what filetypes you want your data in. Once you are done, hit the “Create Archive” button. The data will be provided in a zip archive with all the files that’s stored on your Google docs account.

It’s always useful to have an offline backup of important data for those times when an internet connection isn’t available.
