Global electronics brand Samsung has announced the launch of its latest tablet – the Galaxy Tab 2, 10.1 inch tablet – in the Indian market. The tablet was announced earlier this year during the Mobile World Congress. The tablet comes with a 1 GHz Dual Core Processor and the latest Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system and is the second generation 10.1 inch Android tablet from Samsung.
The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is powered by a 7,000 mAh battery. It sports a 3 MP shooter with video recording capabilities at an HD 720p resolution. The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 weighs in at 583 grams. The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is a rebadged version of the company’s existing Tab 10.1 (or Tab 750).

Compared with the Tab 10.1, the new model is a bit thicker and heavier. There is a slight change in the design too, as the stereo speakers are more prominently placed facing the front, rather than the sides. While the screen resolution and type have remained the same, the Tab 2 (10.1) does get expandable memory support this time.
