AVG Technologies, the provider of Internet and mobile security to 128 million active users, has been voted by PC Pro readers as the best free AntiVirus software in the top UK publication’s annual awards. AVG AntiVirus FREE 2012, one of the company’s most popular products, was recognized by over 11,000 PC Pro readers who voted it the Best Free Antivirus available.
AVG AntiVirus FREE 2012 is lighter, faster and smaller than any previous AVG product and included new privacy and WiFi protection technologies, video download acceleration and performance enhancements.
In March 2012, AVG Technologies was the first AntiVirus company to introduce an active Do-Not-Track feature, which was also included in the free product. This was a major initiative to help and support Internet users to protect and stay in control of their online privacy.
